About the exhibition:
This exhibition brings together local artists whose work explores the idea of sanctuary in uncertain times—spaces that allow us to pause, breathe, and reconnect. Through painting, mixed media, textile work, and other wall-based practices, the exhibition reflects on care, resilience, rest, and quiet strength.
About the hosting business:
Hera Hub Carlsbad, a women-centered coworking and community space, becomes the setting for this exhibition—transforming everyday workspaces into places of reflection and creative dialogue.

About the curator:
Galina Semenova is a fine art portrait photographer and the founder of Womanity Portrait Foundation, based in San Diego. Her work centers on women, using photography as a way to create space for presence, truth, and self-recognition. Through a quiet, collaborative process, she invites women to be seen beyond roles, expectations, and appearance. Drawing from her interest in human psychology and her own lived experience, Galina approaches portraiture as an act of witnessing rather than performance. Her work is rooted in the belief that when a person feels truly seen, something shifts, and that shift has the power to ripple outward into how we relate to ourselves and each other.
