“Space to Exhale” Opening Reception

“Space to Exhale” is a group exhibition featuring local artists exploring sanctuary and reflection.

Join us for the opening reception of “Space to Exhale,” a group exhibition presented by San Diego Art Directory in collaboration with Hera Hub Carlsbad.

This exhibition brings together local artists whose work explores the idea of sanctuary in uncertain times—spaces that allow us to pause, breathe, and reconnect. Through painting, mixed media, textile work, and other wall-based practices, the exhibition reflects on care, resilience, rest, and quiet strength.

Hera Hub Carlsbad, a women-centered coworking and community space, becomes the setting for this exhibition—transforming everyday workspaces into places of reflection and creative dialogue.

During the opening reception, guests are invited to explore the exhibition, meet the participating artists, and connect with fellow members of the local creative community.

The evening will also include a special artist panel led by Lisane Basquiat, offering a deeper conversation around the themes of the exhibition and the role of art as a space for reflection and resilience.

Guests will enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with art, conversation, and community, along with a curated wine experience by our sponsor Sipwell Wine Co. who will be present with a tasting cart.
