Art Scene West presents our first ever Only Oils exhibition, an exclusive showcase celebrating the medium responsible for countless masterpieces. Chosen for its hallmark characteristics in depth, texture, vibrancy and versatility, oil painting continues to separate artists in today’s contemporary sphere. This Call for Artists seeks those working in oil paints to share their best works, whether rooted in tradition or founded in unique contemporary approaches.

This Call for Artists welcomes all styles, themes and subjects for this group showing: from realism to abstraction, portraiture to landscape, expressionism to minimalism, and far more, for the purpose of demonstrating the timeless quality of oil paintings. By focusing solely on this traditional medium, we aim to highlight the skill, creativity, and expressive potential that still holds strong today, connecting artists over the span of hundreds of years.
