Nerikomi 2-Day Ceramics Workshop

Description

Dive into the rich, pattern-driven world of nerikomi in this 2-day workshop focused on working with laminated colored porcelain. This process involves layering and manipulating colored clay to create intricate, one-of-a-kind surface designs that are embedded throughout the material—not just applied to the surface.

Students will learn how to mix and prepare colored porcelain, explore techniques for layering and laminating, and apply these patterns onto porcelain forms to create visually dynamic pieces. The instructor will guide you through the full process, from color development to composition, helping you understand how to achieve clean, bold, and expressive results.

This workshop is ideal for both beginners and experienced ceramicists looking to expand their surface design vocabulary. Whether you’re new to nerikomi or looking to refine your technique, you’ll leave with new skills and a deeper understanding of working with colored clay.

All materials are included.
