“My work consists of a series of oil painting studies, continuing the exploration from my previous cat meme exhibition. This body of work experiments with color through depictions drawn from viral internet imagery.

Though our processes and styles differ greatly, as a married couple we continually find inspiration in one another’s work.

Much like the viral video that inspired the title of this showcase, the series reflects the growth that comes from developing a fundamental understanding of the basics—balanced with humor, persistence, and play.” – @micah_mariah
