Closing Party: stop/motion

The stop/motion photography exhibition comes to a close on Saturday, June 6, marking the end of Astreya’s San Diego residency before the studio relocates to the south of France.

Join us from 6–9 PM for an evening of art, conversation, and celebration. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer, non-alcoholic drinks, and one final viewing of the show.

The show explores the spirit of the ocean and the limitations of human perception of time: with limited-edition photographs of a single sunset within the infamous Drake Passage that separates Argentina from Antarctica. Shot with a slow shutter speed, the photographs are modern, impressionistic, and meditative.
