We invite artists to submit work for Reclaiming the Ordinary, a national juried exhibition that celebrates the overlooked, the familiar, and the everyday. In a culture often captivated by spectacle and novelty, this exhibition seeks to highlight the significance of ordinary moments, objects, routines, and spaces that quietly shape our lives.
From morning rituals and domestic scenes to neighborhood landscapes and cherished possessions, Reclaiming the Ordinary encourages artists to explore how the commonplace can become extraordinary through attention, memory, creativity, and reflection.
The exhibition will be juried by Peggi Kroll- Roberts, known for her vibrant, loosely painted figurative works, beach scenes, still lifes, and plein-air paintings. Her style combines strong color, expressive brushwork, and an emphasis on capturing the essence of a scene rather than rendering every detail. Kroll-Roberts lives in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Calaveras County, California.
