The Chula Vista Art Guild was established in 1945 by noted California Impressionist Alfred R. Mitchell and several of his Chula Vista students. Since then, it has grown into a diverse collective of artists working in painting, photography, ceramics, metalwork, and textiles. The Guild organizes numerous events each year, including art classes, social gatherings, and spring and fall exhibitions open to all San Diego County artists.
